NLSL definition

NLSL has the meaning specified in section 3(13) of the Northwest Power Act and in BPA’s NLSL Policy.

Examples of NLSL in a sentence

  • For any loads that are monitored by BPA for an NLSL determination, and for any loads at any facility that is determined by BPA to be an NLSL, BPA may, in its sole discretion, install BPA owned meters.

  • If BPA concludes in its sole judgment that «Customer Name» has not fulfilled its obligations, or has not been able to obtain access or information from the end-use consumer under sections 16.2.3 and 16.2.4, BPA may determine any load subject to NLSL monitoring to be an NLSL.

  • If BPA determines that the load is an NLSL, BPA shall notify «Customer Name» and the Parties shall add the NLSL to Exhibit E to reflect BPA’s determination.

  • Such NLSL determination shall be final unless «Customer Name» proves to BPA’s satisfaction that the applicable load did not exceed ten Average Megawatts in any 12-month monitoring period.

  • Specific arrangements to match such resources to the NLSL on an hourly basis shall be established in Exhibit B.

  • An NLSL is any load associated with a new facility, an 5 existing facility, or an expansion of an existing facility that was not contracted for or committed 6 to (CF/CT) prior to September 1, 1979, and which will result in an increase in power 7 requirements of 10 average megawatts (aMW) or more in any consecutive 12-month period.

  • If BPA determines that the load is an NLSL, BPA shall notify PacifiCorp and the Parties shall add the NLSL to Exhibit B to reflect BPA’s determination.

  • All of «Customer Name»’s Dedicated Resource amounts serving an NLSL, in accordance with section 3.5.5 of the body of this Agreement, are as described in this section 4.

  • In calculating a utility’s ASC, section 5(c)(7) of the Act mandates that BPA exclude from ASC the cost of resources in an amount sufficient to serve a new large single load (NLSL), the cost of additional resources in an amount sufficient to meet any additional load outside the region occurring after the effective date of the Act, and any costs of any generating facility which is terminated prior to initial commercial operation.

  • To the extent that the NLSL load is less than the maximum amount in any monthly or Diurnal period, «Customer Name» shall have no right or obligation to use such amounts to serve the non-NLSL portion of its Total Retail Load.

  • GT means Gross Tons/Gross Tonnage as defined by the International Convention on the Tonnage Measurement of Ships (1969). In the case of unregistered vessels, the Company shall at its discretion estimate a GT figure for the application of any GT-based charges.

  • AGC means Automatic Generation Control.
