NIE Energy definition

  • The powers specified in paragraph 4 may not be exercised in relation to any cancellable generating unit agreement in the table appearing in Annex 4 of the NIE Energy Supply Licence earlier than the date appearing opposite that cancellable generating unit agreement in that table.

  • Where the relevant monthly payment in respect of the NIE Energy Supply Amount or the PPB Amount is a positive number, the Licensee shall pay the relevant amount to NIE Energy (Supply) or NIE Energy (PPB) (as appropriate) in accordance with the agreement referred to in paragraph 9 or 10 (as appropriate).

  • The Licensee shall enter into an agreement for use of the Licensee’s distribution system by NIE Energy in such form as the Authority may designate (having regard to the proposed provisions of similar agreements with other system users, the draft agreement submitted to the Authority, any responses received in connection with any consultation concerning the same, and such other matters as the Authority considers appropriate), and the Licensee shall enter into such document within 7 days of such designation.

  • Renewable energy means the grid quality electricity generated from renewable energy sources;

  • renewable energy sources means renewable sources such as small hydro, wind, solar including its integration with combined cycle, biomass, bio fuel cogeneration, urban or municipal waste and other such sources as approved by the MNRE;

  • Energy means electricity, natural gas, steam, hot or chilled water, fuel oil, or other product for use in a building, or renewable on-site electricity generation, for purposes of providing heating, cooling, lighting, water heating, or for powering or fueling other end-uses in the building and related facilities, as reflected in Utility bills or other documentation of actual Energy use.

  • Solar energy means the sun used as the sole source of energy for producing electricity.

  • Operating Company has the meaning set forth in the preamble.

  • Renewable energy resources means energy derived from solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and hydroelectricity. A fuel cell using hydrogen derived from these eligible resources is also an eligible electric generation technology. Fossil and nuclear fuels and their derivatives are not eligible resources.

  • Gas company means any person distributing gas within the corporate limits or authorized and proposing to so engage.

  • Natural gas company ’ means a person engaged in the transportation of natural gas in interstate commerce, or the sale in inter- state commerce of such gas for resale.

  • boycott energy company means “without an ordinary business purpose, refusing to deal with, terminating business activities with, or otherwise taking any action intended to penalize, inflict economic harm on, or limit commercial relations with a company because the company (a) engages in the exploration, production, utilization, transportation, sale, or manufacturing of fossil fuel-based energy and does not commit or pledge to meet environmental standards beyond applicable federal and state law, or (b) does business with a company described by paragraph (a).” (See Tex.   • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal. A renewable energy resource comes from the sun or from thermal inertia of the earth and minimizes the output of toxic material in the conversion of the energy and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

  • Generating Company means any company or body corporate or association or body of individuals, whether incorporated or not, or artificial juridical person, which owns or operates or maintains a generating station;

  • Net Energy The total quantity of electric energy (measured in kilowatt hours) produced by the Facility over a given time period and delivered to the Point of Interconnection, as measured by the revenue meter. "Net Energy" the equivalent of "Actual Output."

  • Natural resources means land, fish, wildlife, biota, air, water, ground water, drinking water supplies, and other such resources belonging to, managed by, held in trust by, appertaining to, or otherwise controlled by the United States or the State.
