News Access Rights definition

News Access Rights means the right of access to excerpts from any broadcast not exceeding three (3) minutes in aggregate duration per broadcast, for the purpose of producing news coverage to be broadcast strictly within 72 hours, or as stipulated by local news access regulations, of the occurrence of the relevant day’s play as part of a regularly scheduled, bone fide, news programme by all means of vision media including the Internet and on-line services in all territories. The ‘News Access Rights’ remain the property of the BWF or its Licensee at all times who may authorise their use to any BROADCASTER globally and including in the territory of the LOC.
News Access Rights the (i) non-exclusive but "first right to broadcast" news excerpts of Programmes in the Territories in all Licensed Languages and on the Channels, and (ii) the non-exclusive right to broadcast on "EUROSPORTNEWS" on a worldwide basis in the Licensed Languages an unlimited number of excerpts of the Events of up to three (3) minutes per day within forty-eight (48) hours after the conclusion of each Event.

MINIMUM TV REQUIREMENTS Provision of the following shall constitute the Minimum TV Requirements as detailed in Appendixes 1 to 4, which are an integral part of this agreement and must be read carefully. FILA will have a free and unencumbered access to television coverage of the event (tapes and signal access will be provided free of charge) including provision of the continuous live clean feed (except for opening and closing credit and data); signal delivered to the nearest international gateway or by SNG to a satellite (commonly decided), unless otherwise requested. For avoidance of doubt, if SNG equipment is used to provide the signal to the nearest international gateway, all costs in connection with the provision of the SNG equipment shall be borne by the Host Broadcaster. The live clean signal must include international sound and, if requested, an English commentary as guideline on separate audio channel. The minimum television coverage shall comprise full coverage of the three (3) or four (4) mats for the days of the semi-finals and the days of finals suitable in all respects for international broadcast purposes and fully cleared, except for opening and closing credit and all usual data about competition, all provided in English. A DigiBeta SP (or Beta SP) master in PAL format with international sound of the event, in addition to a VHS PAL copy of each master, must be provided to FILA (in his request) free of charge. The tapes must be recorded on-site to ensure the minimum risks of technical faults and be available immediately for dispatch or editing purposes. A dedicated FILA ‘record’ machine in the broadcast centre is recommended. It is material to this contract that the Host Broadcaster, assisted by the Organizer, does not allow any television camera or camera team entry to the competition hall without FILA’s express prior written approval.
