Need for overtime definition

Need for overtime means that under the minimum staffing provisions of this agreement, there is a need to fill a vacancy in one of the ranks and the rank needed to be filled shall be determined by the order of notification of absence. An overtime opportunity created by the absence of an employee serving in a “working out of class” capacity shall be filled by offering overtime to employees as provided in Paragraph B.
