NBA Draft definition

NBA Draft or “Draft” shall mean the process by which Members select certain incoming NBA players.
NBA Draft means the NBA’s annual draft of Rookie basketball players.

  • P▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇, nicknamed “The Truth” was the 10th overall pick of the 1998 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics and spent the first 15 of his career with the team.

  • If such player has not signed a Player Contract within the period between the Subsequent Draft and the next NBA Draft with the Team that drafted him in the Subsequent Draft, that Team shall lose its exclusive right, which it obtained in the Subsequent Draft, to negotiate with the player, and the player will become a Rookie Free Agent as of the date of the next NBA Draft.

  • A player will no longer be automatically eligible for the NBA Draft by virtue of rendering services to a non-NBA professional basketball team (e.g., G League Ignite).

  • An NBA Draft will be held prior to the commencement of each NBA Season covered by the term of this Agreement and, despite the expiration of the other terms of this Agreement pursuant to Article XXXIX, prior to the commencement of the 2004-05 NBA Season (or, if the NBA exercises its option to extend the Agreement pursuant to Article XXXIX, prior to the commencement of the 2005-06 NBA Season).

  • Instead, such a player will be automatically eligible for an NBA Draft if he is or will be 22 years of age during the calendar year of the Draft.

  • Any foreign player who is older than twenty-two (22), and who was not selected in the NBA Draft held during the calendar year of his twenty-second (22nd) birthday, is a Rookie Free Agent.

  • Beginning with the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, all invited players will be required to attend and participate in the Draft Combine (other than 5-on-5 or any other live action offense versus defense drill, which will be optional), unless excused from participation by the NBA for medical or other valid reasons.

  • BA Equivalent Loan any Loan in Canadian Dollars bearing interest at a rate determined by reference to the BA Rate in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.
