Navigable water definition

Navigable water means a stream, river, lake, sea or other body of water, used or capable of being used by the public for navigation by boats, kayaks, canoes, rafts or other small craft, or log booms on a continuous or seasonal basis, and includes any parts thereof interrupted by occasional natural obstructions or bypassed by portages.
Navigable water means any waterway navigable by vessels, or capable of being made navigable by vessels through artificial improvements, and includes the structures and facilities created to facilitate navigation.
Navigable water or “navigable waters” means Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, all natural inland lakes within this state and all streams, ponds, sloughs, flowages and other waters within the territorial limits of this state, including the Wisconsin portion of boundary waters, which are navigable under the laws of this state.
