Nature of purchase in column (i) means – purchase made in the State from a VAT dealer on tax invoice (‘Local purchase – VAT’), any other purchase made in the State (‘Local sale – Others’), purchase made in the course of inter-State trade (‘Inter-State purchase’), purchase made in the course of export of goods out of India (‘Export sale’), and purchase made in the course of import of goods into India (‘Import sale). Entries relating to a particular nature of purchase and in that category, purchases made to a particular person/dealer should be grouped together and totalled separately.
