National Waste Management Strategy definition

National Waste Management Strategy means the National Waste Management Strategy (NWMS), which is a legislative requirement of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No. 59 of 2008). The purpose of the NWMS is to achieve the objects of the Waste Act, which defines its scope and specifies its contents. Organs of state and affected persons are obliged to give effect to the NWMS;

The National Waste Management Strategy (NWMS) is structured around a framework of three pillars each with their respective goals.

The Waste Act also tasks National government with the establishment of a National Waste Management Strategy (NWMS), which includes objectives, plans, guidelines systems and procedures for the avoidance of waste, re-use, recycling and recovery of waste.

The goals and targets of the 2020 National Waste Management Strategy (NWMS) related to recycling and waste minimisation are provided below.

Department means the department of natural resources.
Consumer means a person who is a member of the public, takes possession of food, is not functioning in the capacity of an operator of a food establishment or food processing plant, and does not offer the food for resale.
Minister means the Minister in the Government of the State for the time being responsible for the administration of the Act to ratify this Agreement and pending the passing of that Act means the Minister for the time being designated in a notice from the State to the Company and includes the successors in office of the Minister;
Site means any location, facility, or property as defined under any Environmental Law, whether or not presently or formerly owned or operated by the debtor, including, but not limited to, disposal sites.
Act means the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and the rules and regulations of the Commission promulgated thereunder.
Council means the Council of the Municipality;
Member means any of the entities that make up the joint venture/consortium/association, and “Members” means all these entities.
Facility means the entire operation located on the property where the Equipment is located;
Secretary means the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services or his/her designee.
Operator means the operator of an electronic communications code network.
Division means the division of the assets, liabilities and/or obligations of a Person (the “Dividing Person”) among two or more Persons (whether pursuant to a “plan of division” or similar arrangement), which may or may not include the Dividing Person and pursuant to which the Dividing Person may or may not survive.
Services means those functional services ancillary to the supply of the goods, such as transportation and any other incidental services, such as installation, commissioning, provision of technical assistance, training, catering, gardening, security, maintenance and other such obligations of the supplier covered under the contract.
Code means the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
Regulations means the Income Tax Regulations promulgated under the Code, as such regulations may be amended from time to time (including corresponding provisions of succeeding regulations).
Commissioner means the commissioner of insurance.
Control means the possession, directly or indirectly, of the power to direct or cause the direction of the management or policies of a Person, whether through the ability to exercise voting power, by contract or otherwise. “Controlling” and “Controlled” have meanings correlative thereto.
Committee means the Compensation Committee of the Board.
Project means specific activities of the Grantee that are supported by funds provided under this Contract.
Company means the Person named as the “Company” in the first paragraph of this instrument until a successor Person shall have become such pursuant to the applicable provisions of this Indenture, and thereafter “Company” shall mean such successor Person.
corrupt practice means the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of anything of value to influence the action of a public official in the procurement process or in contract execution.
Board means the Board of Directors of the Company.
Physician means an individual authorized to practice medicine or osteopathy under the law of any state.
Parent means a “parent corporation,” whether now or hereafter existing, as defined in Section 424(e) of the Code.
Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.
Manufacturer means the person or body who is responsible to the approval authority for all aspects of the type approval process and for ensuring conformity of production. It is not essential that the person or body is directly involved in all stage of the construction of the vehicle, system, component or separate technical unit which is the subject of the approval process.
Program means the Contributions distributed in accordance with this Agreement.
