Mental health services means interventions designed to provide the maximum reduction of mental disability and restoration or maintenance of functioning consistent with the requirements for learning, development and enhanced self-sufficiency. Services shall include:
Home health services means services and supplies that are provided by a home health agency that coordinates in- home intermittent services for curative, habilitative care, including home-health aide services, licensed nurse ser- vices, and medical supplies, equipment, and appliances.
Health services means the provision of treatment, care, advice or guidance, or other services, or supplies, related to the health or death of individuals or human populations, to the extent necessary to respond to an emergency, including:
Mental health services provider means an individual, licensed or unlicensed, who performs or purports to perform mental health services, including a:
health service body has the meaning ascribed to it in section 9 of the National Health Service Act 2006.
Health Service means a Local Health District constituted under section 8 of the Health Services Act 1997, a Statutory Health Corporation constituted under section 11 of that Act, and an Affiliated Health Organisation constituted under section 13 of that Act.
Telehealth service means a health service, other than a telemedical service, delivered by a health professional licensed, certified, or otherwise entitled to practice in this state and acting within the scope of the health professional’s license, certifications, or entitlement to a patient at a different physical location than the health professional using telecommunication or information technology.
Behavioral health services means Covered Services for the treatment of mental, emotional, or chemical dependency disorders.
Telehealth services means a health service, other than a telemedical service, delivered by a health professional licensed, certified, or otherwise entitled to practice in this state and acting within the scope of the health professional’s license, certifications, or entitlement to a patient at a different physical location than the health professional using telecommunication or information technology.
Federally Qualified Health Center means a community health center that is
Nursing home administrator or "administrator" means any individual who is charged with the general administration of a nursing home, whether or not such an individual has an ownership interest in such home and whether or not the functions and duties are shared with one or more other individuals.
Water Service means the furnishing of water to a cus- tomer through a District-owned water meter or meters.
Federal Health Care Program means any plan or program that provides health benefits, whether directly, through insurance, or otherwise, which is funded directly, in whole or in part, by the United States Government, including, but not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid/MediCal, managed Medicare/Medicaid/MediCal, TriCare/VA/CHAMPUS, SCHIP, Federal Employees Health Benefit Plan, Indian Health Services, Health Services for Peace Corp Volunteers, Railroad Retirement Benefits Black Lung Program, Services Provided to Federal Prisoners, and Pre- Existing Condition Insurance Plans (PCIPs).
Emergency medical care provider means an individual who has been trained to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the first responder, EMT-basic, EMT-intermediate, EMT-paramedic, paramedic specialist or other certification levels recognized by the department before 1984 and who has been issued a certificate by the department.
Home health aide services means those tasks that are provided to a patient by a home health aide under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist.
Community mental health center means either a physical plant or a group of services under unified administration or affiliated with one another, and including at least the following services provided for the prevention and treatment of mental illness in persons residing in a particular community in or near the facility so situated:
National Emergency Number Association or "NENA" is an association which fosters the technological advancement, availability and implementation of 911 Service nationwide through research, planning, training, certification, technical assistance and legislative representation.
energy service provider means a natural or legal person who delivers energy services or other energy efficiency improvement measures in a final customer’s facility or premises;
Home health care means Services provided in the home by nurses, medical social workers, home health aides, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists. We cover home health care only if all of the following are true:
Emergency medical care means bona fide emergency services provided after the sudden onset of a medical or traumatic condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity, including severe pain, such that the absence of immediate medical attention could reasonably be expected to result in placing the patient's health in serious jeopardy, serious impairment to bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. The term does not include medical care or treatment that occurs after the patient is stabilized and is capable of receiving medical treatment as a nonemergency patient or that is unrelated to the original medical emergency.
Home health agency means a person certified by medicare whose business is to provide to individuals in their places of residence other than in a hospital, nursing home, or county medical care facility 1 or more of the following services: nursing services, therapeutic services, social work services, homemaker services, home health aide services, or other related services.
Home health aide means an individual employed by a home health agency to provide home health services under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist.
Insurance holding company system means a group of two or more affiliated persons, at least one of whom is an insurer.
Local health department means the same as that term is defined in Section 26A-1-102.
Community mental health program means all mental health services, activities, or programs using available resources.
Mental health facility means a psychiatric facility or other facility defined in 42 USC 1396d(d) as described under the mental health code, 1974 PA 258, MCL 330.1001 to 330.2106.
