Multitrack definition

Multitrack means individually separated audio files usually in wav format that can each be placed on a track and played together as a whole to create a larger sound. Noting the word “Multitrack” is sometimes used interchangeably in the music industry with other terms like “track outs” or “stems” which can have the same meaning as multitrack.
