Modern Slavery Laws definition

Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW), Divisions 270 and 271 of the Criminal Code 1995 (Cth), the Human Rights Act 2019 (Qld), and any other binding or non-binding guidelines issued by an entity or person so authorised under Modern Slavery Law, and anti-Modern Slavery laws or regulations in force in Australia or otherwise applicable to Tetra Tech International Development or the Subconsultant from time to time with respect to reporting on or addressing the risks of modern slavery, including business operations and supply chains with respect to related purposes.
Modern Slavery Laws means (i) laws prohibiting work or service that is performed involuntarily and exacted under the menace of violence or other types of penalty (“Forced Labor”) and/or other forms of Modern Slavery (as defined below) such as 18 U.S.C. 1589 of the US and the UK’s Modern Slavery Xxx 0000, and (ii) laws requiring entities to disclose their risks of Modern Slavery such as the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act and Australia’s Modern Slavery Xxx 0000 (Cth). “Modern Slavery” has the meaning given to that term or, if “Modern Slavery” is not used, similar terms (such as forced labor), in the Modern Slavery Laws. Seller confirms that it does not use any Forced Labor, it conducts its business in compliance with the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, and it is not subject to any investigation, enforcement or conviction involving Modern Slavery. Seller shall promptly notify Buyer of any actual or suspected breaches by Seller or its Subcontractors of the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, and Seller agrees to provide Buyer immediately upon request any information and assistance that Buyer may require for compliance with the applicable Modern Slavery Laws.

Seller confirms that it and its Subcontractors do not use any Forced Labor, it conducts its business, including its supply chain operations, in compliance with the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, and it is not subject to any investigation, enforcement or conviction involving Modern Slavery. Seller shall promptly notify Buyer of any actual or suspected breaches by Seller or its Subcontractors of the applicable Modern Slavery Laws, and agrees to provide Buyer immediately upon request any information and assistance that Buyer may require for compliance with the applicable Modern Slavery Laws.

  • If the Contractor is a ‘reporting entity’ for the purposes of any state or federal Modern Slavery Laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), it must provide WaterNSW with a copy of any report it is required to prepare under that legislation at WaterNSW' request.

Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and any other applicable legislation addressing similar subject matter.
Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW), the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (UK), Chapter 4, Division 73 of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) and any relevant regulations or ancillary legislation published in respect of the above or any similar modern slavery legislation in another jurisdiction of which the Principal is required to comply.
Modern Slavery Laws means, as applicable, the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (NSW) and the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (VIC), the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and any other legislation of the Commonwealth or a State relating to Modern Slavery or similar matters Party means a party to this Agreement. Personnel in relation to the Company or the Contractor means the officers, employees, contractors, agents, servants, assignee’s invitees, subcontractors and others, including the personnel of Related Bodies Corporate of each, as the context requires.
Modern Slavery Laws means the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and any statute, ordinance, code or other law including regulations under them and any code of practice, membership rules or standards issued by relevant regulators or industry bodies, whether or not having the force of law, relating to Modern Slavery or similar matters and is applicable in the jurisdiction in which SUEZ or you are registered or conducts business or in which activities relevant to this Contract are to be performed.
Modern Slavery Laws means any law which prohibits Modern Slavery and which is applicable or otherwise in force in the jurisdiction in which HH or the Supplier is registered or conducts business or in which activities relevant to the Agreement are to be performed, or which imposes Modern Slavery reporting obligations on one or both of the parties to this Agreement.
Modern Slavery Laws means any foreign or domestic laws and regulations applicable to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, including but not limited to the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
