Ministry of the Environment definition

Ministry of the Environment means the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and any successor ministry;
Ministry of the Environment means the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and any successor Ministry with responsibility for the environment, waste collection and waste disposal;
Ministry of the Environment and “MOE” means the Ministry of the Environment of the Borrower, and any successor thereto.

A stormwater management BMP may either be normally dry (that is, a detention basin or infiltration system), retain water in a permanent pool (a retention basin), or be planted mainly with wetland vegetation (most constructed stormwater wetlands).

  • Pollution prevention means any activity that through process changes, product reformulation or redesign, or substitution of less polluting raw materials, eliminates or reduces the release of air pollutants (including fugitive emissions) and other pollutants to the environment prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal; it does not mean recycling (other than certain “in-process recycling” practices), energy recovery, treatment, or disposal.

  • Wildlife habitat means a surface water of the state used by plants and animals not considered as pathogens, vectors for pathogens or intermediate hosts for pathogens for humans or domesticated livestock and plants.

  • Regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation means the regulations in 49 CFR Parts 100-189.

  • Municipal solid waste landfill or “MSW landfill” means an entire disposal facility in a contiguous geographical space where household waste is placed in or on land. An MSW landfill may also receive other types of RCRA Subtitle D wastes such as commercial solid waste, nonhazardous sludge, and industrial solid waste. Portions of an MSW landfill may be separated by access roads. An MSW landfill may be publicly or privately owned. An MSW landfill may be a new MSW landfill, an existing MSW landfill or a lateral expansion.
