Per the Financial Administration Act, 1985, the agency shall not enter into any financial arrangement or commitment, guarantee, indemnity or similar transaction that may increase, directly or indirectly, the indebtedness or contingent liabilities of the government without the written approval of the Minister of Finance and/or the President of the Treasury Board, as applicable.
