  • If any of the aforementioned changes occur, participating institutions are expected to communicate with their sector representative from the Michigan Association of State Universities (MASU), Michigan Community College Association (MCCA), or Michigan Independent Colleges and Universities (MICU).

  • If the patient is anticipated to need SICU level care after the surgery for non-critical reasons (ie: observation for OSA) and the patient is stable, the patient will be co-admitted with MICU service with Podiatry Section being the primary team providing care for the patient.

  • When working on a Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) or a Basic Life Support Unit (BLS), employees assigned to the unit shall receive an 8% premium pay based on the employee’s hourly factored rate of pay.

  • MICU - when response-ready or in-service - one certified or licensed paramedic and one EMT.

  • MEDCARE agrees to abide by the applicable rules of the Texas Department of Health with regard to medical direction/supervision of pre-hospital care and MICU vehicle requirements, together with Medical Control Protocols promulgated by the Medical Control Contractor, at all times when rendering basic or advanced life support service under the provisions of the Contract.
