Member of the Bargaining definition

Member of the Bargaining. Unit shall mean any member of the Bargaining Unit (q.v.). Parties shall mean the parties to this Collective Agreement, viz. The University of Western Ontario and The University of Western Ontario Faculty Association. School shall mean an academic School (with the exception of the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies) as constituted by the Senate and the Board of Governors. Senate shall mean the Senate of The University of Western Ontario as established in the University of Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxx Xxx, 0000, as amended from time to time. Unit shall be as defined in Appendix D.

Examples of Member of the Bargaining in a sentence

  • Unit who accepts a reduced-time appointment, a reduced workload or a leave of absence shall continue to be a Member of the Bargaining Unit.

  • During the life of this Agreement, the Employer shall deduct from the monthly salary of each Member of the Bargaining Unit such fees, monthly dues or assessments as may be authorized from time to time by the Association.

  • Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 9.87 the University shall seek indemnification from the state for liability or judgment of any Member of the Bargaining Unit resulting from the performance of his or her duties for the University.

  • Regular Faculty Member A Member of the Bargaining Unit who has been appointed to either a tenured or tenure- track position at the University.

  • During the life of this Agreement, the Employer shall deduct from the monthly salary of any faculty member who is a voluntary member of the Association, but who is not a Member of the Bargaining Unit, such fees, monthly dues or assessments as may be authorized from time to time by the Association.

  • Regular Faculty Member A Member of the Bargaining Unit who has been appointed to either a tenured or tenure-track position at the University.

  • In addition, a Member of the Bargaining Unit may be suspended without pay or terminated pursuant to the provisions of this Article 15.

  • During such year the Member of the Bargaining Unit shall pay health insurance premiums.

  • Failure of a Member of the Bargaining Unit to make such payment will result in the termination of the Member’s hospitalization insurance.

  • The Board shall render reasonable assistance to the Member of the Bargaining Unit in the handling of the incident by law enforcement and judicial authorities.

Related to Member of the Bargaining

  • Bargaining Unit means the unit of Employees as described on the Labour Relations Board Certificate.

  • Collective Bargaining Agreement means any Contract that has been entered into with any labor organization, union, works council, employee representative or association.

  • Bargaining Unit Member or “employee” means a University employee who is included in the bargaining unit as defined in Article 2: “Recognition and Scope”.

  • Union means The Australian Workers' Union of Employees, Queensland.

  • Bargaining representative means a labor organization recognized by an employer or certified by the commission as the sole and exclusive bargaining representative of certain employees of the employer.
