SDSL or "Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the bi-directional transmission from up to 160 kbps to 2.048 Mbps on a single pair. "VDSL" or "Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the transmission of up to 52 Mbps downstream (from the Central Office to the End User Customer) and up to 2.3 Mbps digital signal upstream (from the End User Customer to the Central Office). VDSL can also be 26 Mbps symmetrical, or other combination.
IDSL or "ISDN Digital Subscriber Line" or "Integrated Services Digital Network Digital Subscriber Line" is a symmetrical, baseband DSL technology that permits the bi- directional transmission of up to 128 Kbps using ISDN CPE but not circuit switching.
Socket is a socket occupied by a CPU on a System or Physical Node. For purposes of this Exhibit 1.A, a “Socket-pair” is up to two sockets each occupied by a CPU on a System or Physical Node. A “System on a Chip” or “SOC(s)” is a single integrated circuit that includes the major components of a computer and is generally recognized as a system on a chip. A “Virtual Guest” is an instance of the Software that is executed, in whole or in part, on a System that is a virtual machine. When you deploy a guest operating system in a virtualized environment, you are responsible for securing the required license rights for any third party operating systems or other software that you use.
Ethernet means a family of computer networking technologies for LANs.
Sensor means any measurement device that is not part of the vehicle itself but installed to determine parameters other than the concentration of gaseous and particle pollutants and the exhaust mass flow.
apron means a defined area intended to accommodate aircraft for purposes of loading or unloading passengers, mail or cargo, fuelling, parking or maintenance;
Xf means the Final Index Level, and “Xi” means the Initial Index Level.
PNode has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.
Soft drinks means nonalcoholic beverages that contain natural or artificial sweeteners. "Soft drinks" does not include beverages that contain milk or milk products, soy, rice, or similar milk substitutes, or that contains greater than fifty per cent vegetable or fruit juice by volume.
PMAX means the maximum generator real power output reported in MWs on a seasonal basis.
CM means City Manager of COE appointed in terms of Section 82 of the Local Government: Municipal Structures Act 117 of 1998
Automotive windshield washer fluid means any liquid designed for use in a motor vehicle windshield washer system either as an antifreeze or for the purpose of cleaning, washing, or wetting the windshield. Automotive windshield washer fluid does not include fluids placed by the manufacturer in a new vehicle.
Rad means the special unit of absorbed dose. One rad is equal to an absorbed dose of 100 erg per gram or 0.01 joule per kilogram (0.01 gray).
MT means metric tons.
CPD means verifiable continuing professional development, as described in the General Dental Council's publication of April 2000, "Lifelong Learning – Taking Dentistry Forward", and may include attendance at approved postgraduate education courses but does not include any quality improvement activities within the meaning of paragraph 40 of Schedule 1 to the National Health Service (General Dental Services) (Scotland) Regulations 2010 in respect of which he is claiming an allowance in accordance with Determination XI of this Statement;
ADSL or "Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line" is a Passband digital loop transmission technology that typically permits the transmission of up to 8 Mbps downstream (from the Central Office to the End User Customer) and up to 1 Mbps digital signal upstream (from the End User Customer to the Central Office) over one (1) copper pair. "HDSL" or "High-Data Rate Digital Subscriber Line" is a synchronous baseband DSL technology operating over one or more copper pairs. HDSL can offer 784 Kbps circuits over a single copper pair, T1 service over two (2) copper pairs, or future E1 service over three (3) copper pairs. "HDSL2" or "High-Data Rate Digital Subscriber Line 2" is a synchronous baseband DSL technology operating over a single pair capable of transporting a bit rate of 1.544 Mbps.
RAM means random access memory.
Luggage compartment means the space in the vehicle for luggage accommodation, bounded by the roof, hood, floor, side walls, as well as by the barrier and enclosure provided for protecting the occupants from direct contact with high voltage live parts, being separated from the passenger compartment by the front bulkhead or the rear bulk head.
Drum means any cylindrical metal shipping container of 13 to 110 gallon capacity.
Laser means any device excepting a Class 1 device which can be made to produce or amplify electromagnetic radiation in the wave length range from 100 nanometres to 1 millimetre primarily by the process of controlled stimulated emission.
