Medical Robotics definition

Medical Robotics means any development, commercialization, manufacture, programming, integration or use of a robot that is configured so that it may interact with a living person to perform on that person a procedure that includes therapeutic, diagnostic, dermatological, cosmetic, preventative or any other medical treatment of that person.
Medical Robotics means the application of robotic technology in transcutaneous, endoluminal, and/or invasive procedures. For the avoidance of doubt it is agreed that this does not include the use of robotics in medical non-invasive procedures, entirely outside of the human body (e.g. positioning ultrasound sensors on the skin).
