Medical Response Technician definition

Medical Response Technician or “MRT” means an individual who has successfully completed the requirements established by Sec. 19a-179-16 (a) of these regulations and is certified as an MRT by the office of emergency medical services.

  • The parties have agreed an employee designated by the Agency as required to be certified as a Medical Response Technician (MRT) shall be provided three opportunities to achieve the required certification.

  • All existing employees shall participate in and make a bona fide effort to pass and maintain a Medical Response Technician course.

  • Effective July 1, 2002, all members certified in the State of Connecticut through the Office of Emergency Medical Services as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Medical Response Technician (MRT) shall maintain such certification as a condition of employment.

  • Final compensation shall mean the annual earnable compensation (including holiday pay, out-of-class pay, night shift differential, Medical Response Technician Training (MRT) and Emergency Medical Training (EMT) pay including the increase in EMT pay attributable to Defib Certification but excluding all other pay) of an employee during the one (1) year of creditable service with the Police Department for which such compensation was the highest.

  • Effective July 1, 2002, all members certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or a Medical Response Technician (MRT) through the State of Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services prior to appointment shall continue to maintain such certification as a condition of employment.

  • An employee hired on or after December 1, 2004, shall be required to possess and maintain a valid Medical Response Technician certification.

  • Effective July 1, 2002, all members certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or an Medical Response Technician (MRT) through the State of Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services prior to appointment shall continue to maintain such certification as a condition of employment.
