Biological agent means any microorganism, virus, infectious substance, or biological product that may be engineered through biotechnology, or any naturally occurring or bioengineered component of any such microorganism, virus, infectious substance, or biological product, capable of causing:
Health agent means the Health Agent for the Wellesley Board of Health or his/her designee.
Medical Advise means any consultation or advice from a Medical Practitioner including the issue of any prescription or repeat prescription.
Emergency medical services provider means a person who has received formal training in prehospital and emergency care, and is licensed to attend any person who is ill or injured or who has a disability. Police officers, firefighters, funeral home employees and other persons serving in a dual capacity one of which meets the definition of “emergency medical services provider” are “emergency medical services providers” within the meaning of this chapter.
Medical provider means a medical service provider, a hospital, a medical clinic, or a vendor of medical services.
Specialist medical practitioner means a specialist as defined in section 3 of the Health Insurance Act 1973.
Medical professional means a person licensed to practice
Emergency medical care provider means an individual who has been trained to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the first responder, EMT-basic, EMT-intermediate, EMT-paramedic, paramedic specialist or other certification levels recognized by the department before 1984 and who has been issued a certificate by the department.
Medical institution means an organization in which several medical disciplines are practiced.
Patient means a person who is undergoing medical or other treatment as an in-patient in any hospital or similar institution;
Medical means belonging to the study and practice of medicine for the prevention, alleviation or management of a physical or mental defect, illness, or condition.
Medical cannabis means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.
medical practitioner means a person who holds a valid registration from the Medical Council of any State or Medical Council of India or Council for Indian Medicine or for Homeopathy set up by the Government of India or a State Government and is thereby entitled to practice medicine within its jurisdiction; and is acting within its scope and jurisdiction of license. The registered practitioner should not be the insured or close Family members.
Medical examiner means that term as defined in 49 CFR 390.5.
Medical Advisory Committee means the Medical Advisory Committee established by the Board as required by the Public Hospitals Act;
Medical supplies means items for medical use that are suitable for use in a health care facility or in the home and that are disposable or semi-disposable and are non-reusable.
Authorized medical physicist means an individual who:
Medical direction means direction, advice, or orders provided by a medical director, supervising physician, or physician designee (in accordance with written parameters and protocols) to emergency medical care personnel.
medical authority means the medical authority as referred to in clause (p) of section 2 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 or such other medical authority as may, by notification, be specified by the Central Government for certifying “autism”, “cerebral palsy”, “multiple disabilities”, “person with disability” and “severe disability” referred to in clauses (a), (c), (h), (j) and (o) of section 2 of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999;
Medical Board means the North Carolina Medical Board.
Infectious agent means that term as defined in R 325.9031 of the Michigan administrative code.
