Maximum Continuous Rating. (MCR) means the normal rated full load MW output capacity of a generating unit, which can be sustained on a continuous basis at specified conditions;
Maximum Continuous Rating or “MCR” means the maximum power output the propulsion engine can produce while running continuously within safe limits and conditions as specified in the Technical Specifications. “MD” means the Marine Department. “Official Sea Trial” means the sea trial of the Vessel known as such to be conducted and passed as part of the Technical Acceptance including the tests and trials specified in Paragraph 1.7 of Chapter 1 of the Technical Specifications and Annex 5 of the Technical Specifications. The Official Sea Trial is to be carried out in Hong Kong. “Product Warranties” means all Warranties concerning the Vessel, the Equipment and the Deliverables including without limitation those specified in Clauses19.1.10 to 19.1.19 of Conditions of Contract. “Proprietary Made” means in relation to a piece of Equipment, it is not manufactured by the manufacturer of the Vessel itself, but is one that is manufactured by a third party manufacturer whose business is manufacture of such Equipment. “Punchlist Items” means defects or outstanding Work not affecting the operation or diminish the safety standard, which MD, in its discretion, is willing to leave temporarily unrectified for the purpose of undergoing technical acceptance tests and trials commenced or, as the case may be, allowing a Delivery Acceptance of the Vessel. “Ready for Use” or “Ready to Use” means in case of the Vessel, or any Equipment or any Deliverable, that the same having been fully designed, properly constructed or installed or supplied in full accordance with all terms and conditions of the Contract including without limitation the Warranties, the Technical Specifications and the Schedules, and in the case of Equipment, having been fully installed on the Vessel, and in all cases, having successfully passed all tests and trials under the Technical Acceptance (including the Official Sea Trial) in accordance with all provisions of the Contract and with results accepted by the Government in writing. “Recognised Organisations” or “RO” means any one of the following Classification Societies and as specified in Schedule 9 (or a different Classification Society from the one specified in Schedule 9 where it is expressly permitted that in relation to a particular requirement in Part VII that such different Classification Society as listed below may be designated):American Bureau of Shipping ABSBureau Veritas BVChina Classification Society CCS Det Norske Veritas Germanischer Lloyd DNVGL Korean Register of Shipping...
