Marine Lubricants definition

Marine Lubricants means lubricating oils used for Two-Stroke Crosshead Diesel Engines and Trunk Piston Diesel Engines installed in marine ships.
Marine Lubricants means the different grades of Marine Lubricants sold by Seller to Buyer under an Order Confirmation, including Amendments from time to time.
Marine Lubricants means, collectively, those lubricants historically included as “Inventory” in the Company’s Financial Statements, including crankcase oil, cylinder-high TBN, cylinder-low TBN and generator oil.

Examples of Marine Lubricants in a sentence

  • For each delivery, it shall be the Purchaser’s sole responsibility to notify the Seller of the grade of Marine Lubricants to be delivered to the vessel.

  • The Purchaser shall ensure that the obligations, required conditions or recommendations pertaining to health, safety and the environment and concerning the Marine Lubricants delivered as indicated herein are observed as stipulated in the legislation, laws, regulations or directives in force or applying in the territories, states or other jurisdictions in which the Seller delivers the Marine Lubricants, or in which they may be utilised.

  • The Purchaser shall require his clients to observe the obligations indicated above, and to include these obligations in any sales contract for Marine Lubricants delivered as indicated herein by a provision drawn up in the same terms as herein.

  • The Seller’s liability shall be limited to the price of Marine Lubricants or Services it has supplied and been paid for and which have given rise to the claim.

  • The Purchaser shall be responsible for connecting the hoses to the vessel’s deck installations and for giving the necessary instructions for commencing and terminating the pumping of each grade of Marine Lubricants.

  • The Seller shall in no circumstances be liable for losses, damage or prejudice arising from risks inherent in the nature of the Marine Lubricants delivered under the conditions set out herein.

  • The Buyer Enquiry will clearly indicate at which port the Marine Fuels and/or Marine Lubricants are required, which Marine Fuels and/or Marine Lubricants are needed and in what quantities, and also provide details of any relevant vessel name, IMO number and date and time window during which the sale and/or supply is required.

  • It shall be the Purchaser’s responsibility to check that the Marine Lubricants delivered and shown on the ship receipt are those ordered by the Purchaser.

  • The Purchaser shall be responsible for ensuring that the recommendations relating to the handling and utilisation of the Marine Lubricants delivered as indicated herein, and mentioned in the MSDS, or the “other information”, are followed by his personnel and by any other end users.

  • Unless otherwise explicitly agreed between the Seller and the Purchaser, provided the required number of working days notice as indicated in the IPD has been given in writing, the Marine Lubricants shall be delivered: - in one of the ports listed in the IPD, - within the port’s limits and the customs delivery zone, - on local working days and during normal working hours.

  • Lubricant or “lube” means a solvent neutral paraffinic product used in commercial heavy duty engine oils, passenger car oils and specialty products for industrial applications such as heat transfer, metalworking, rubber and other general process oil.

  • Solid film lubricant means a very thin coating consisting of a binder system containing as its chief pigment material one or more of molybdenum disulfide, graphite, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or other solids that act as a dry lubricant between faying surfaces.

  • Transportation Company means any organization which provides its own or its leased vehicles for transportation or which provides freight forwarding or air express services.

  • Diesel means a distillate oil which can be used as fuel for the operation of a compression ignition engine and which has an approximate boiling temperature of between 150 °C to 400 °C;

  • Marine means pertaining to tidally influenced waters, including oceans, sounds, straits, marine channels, and estuaries, including the Pacific Ocean, Puget Sound, Straits of Georgia and Juan de Fuca, and the bays, estuaries and inlets associated therewith.

  • Nitrogen oxides means nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide, expressed as nitrogen dioxide (NO2);

  • Propane means an NGL, the chemical formula of which is C3H8, used for heating, crop drying, motor fuel and as a feedstock for the petrochemical industry in the manufacture of ethylene and propylene;

  • Fertilizer means any substance or mixture of substances that contains one or more recognized plant nutrients and promotes plant growth, or controls soil acidity or alkalinity, or provides other soil enrichment, or provides other corrective measures to the soil.

  • Waterbody means any accumulation of water, surface or underground, natural or artificial, including rivers, streams, creeks, ditches, swales, lakes, ponds, marshes, wetlands, and ground water. The term does not include any storage or treatment structures.

  • Bulk gasoline plant means a gasoline storage and distribution facility with an average daily throughput of 20,000 gallons (76,000 liters) of gasoline or less on a 30-day rolling average.

  • Pipeline means any pipe, pipes, or pipelines used for the intrastate transportation or transmission of any solid, liquid, or gaseous substance, except water.

  • Additives means non-hydrocarbon compounds added to or blended with a product to modify its properties;

  • Kerosene means all grades of kerosene, including, but not limited to, the 2 grades of kerosene, No. 1-K and No. 2-K, commonly known as K-1 kerosene and K-2 kerosene respectively, described in American society for testing and materials specifications D-3699, in effect on January 1, 1999, and kerosene-type jet fuel described in American society for testing and materials specification D-1655 and military specifications MIL-T-5624r and MIL-T-83133d (grades jp-5 and jp-8), and any successor internal revenue service rules or regulations, as the specification for kerosene and kerosene-type jet fuel. Kerosene does not include an excluded liquid.

  • Automotive windshield washer fluid means any liquid designed for use in a motor vehicle windshield washer system either as an antifreeze or for the purpose of cleaning, washing, or wetting the windshield. Automotive windshield washer fluid does not include fluids placed by the manufacturer in a new vehicle.

  • Oxides of nitrogen means the sum of the volume mixing ratio (ppbv) of nitrogen monoxide (nitric oxide) and nitrogen dioxide expressed in units of mass concentration of nitrogen dioxide (µg/m3);
