Malicious Computer Code definition

Malicious Computer Code means software and technology applications developed to disrupt electronic communications or destroy data, including but not limited to computer viruses, Trojan Horses and worms;
Malicious Computer Code means an unwanted computer program or other set of instructions
Malicious Computer Code means any virus, Trojan Horse, worm or other similar electronic software program, code or script intentionally designed to insert itself into computer memory or onto a computer disk and spread itself from one computer to another.

  • Malicious Software means any software program or code intended to destroy, interfere with, corrupt, or cause undesired effects on program files, data or other information, executable code or application software macros, whether or not its operation is immediate or delayed, and whether the malicious software is introduced wilfully, negligently or without knowledge of its existence.

  • Computer database or “database” means a collection of recorded information in a form capable of, and for the purpose of, being stored in, processed, and operated on by a computer. The term does not include computer software.

  • Computer software means computer programs, source code, source code listings, object code listings, design details, algorithms, processes, flow charts, formulae, and related material that would enable the software to be reproduced, recreated, or recompiled.   • Noncommercial computer software means software that does not qualify as commercial computer software under paragraph (a)(1) of this clause.

  • Prewritten computer software means computer software, including prewritten upgrades, which is not designed and developed by the author or other creator to the specifications of a specific purchaser. The combining of two or more "prewritten computer software" programs or prewritten portions thereof does not cause the combination to be other than "prewritten computer software". "Prewritten computer software" includes software designed and developed by the author or other creator to the specifications of a specific purchaser when it is sold to a person other than the purchaser. If a person modifies or enhances "computer software" of which the person is not the author or creator, the person is deemed to be the author or creator only of such person's modifications or enhancements. "Prewritten computer software" or a prewritten portion thereof that is modified or enhanced to any degree, if such modification or enhancement is designed and developed to the specifications of a specific purchaser, remains "prewritten computer software". However, if there is a reasonable, separately stated charge or an invoice or other statement of the price given to the purchaser for such modification or enhancement, such modification or enhancement shall not constitute "prewritten computer software".

  • Desktop computer means a computer where the main unit is intended to be located in a permanent location, often on a desk or on the floor. Desktops are not designed for portability and utilize an external computer display, keyboard, and mouse. Desktops are designed for a broad range of home and office applications.

  • Malware means any virus, Trojan horse, time bomb, key-lock, spyware, worm, malicious code or other software program designed to or able to, without the knowledge and authorization of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries, disrupt, disable, harm, interfere with the operation of or install itself within or on any Software, computer data, network memory or hardware.

  • Commercial computer software means software developed or regularly used for non-governmental purposes which—

  • Viruses means any malicious computer code or instructions that have a material adverse effect on the operation, security or integrity of (a) a computing, telecommunications or other electronic operating or processing system or environment, (b) software programs, data, databases or other computer files or libraries or (c) computer hardware, networking devices or telecommunications equipment, including (i) viruses, Trojan horses, malware, time bombs, undisclosed back door devices, worms or any other software routine or hardware component designed to permit unauthorized access, disable, erase or otherwise harm software, hardware or data or perform any other such harmful or unauthorized actions and (ii) similar malicious code or data.

  • Interactive computer service means any information service, system, or ac- cess software provider that provides or enables computer access by multiple users to a computer server, including specifically a service or system that provides access to the Internet and such systems operated or services of- fered by libraries or educational insti- tutions.

  • False alarm means an Alarm Dispatch Request to the Police Department, which results in the responding officer finding no evidence of a criminal offense or attempted criminal offense after completing an investigation of the Alarm Site.
