MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS. The Employer agrees, subject to the following provisions, that all conditions of employment in his/her individual operation relating to wages, hours of work, overtime differentials and general working conditions shall be maintained at not less than the highest standards in effect at the time of the signing of this Agreement, and the conditions of employment shall be improved whenever specific provisions for improvement are made elsewhere in this Agreement.

MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS. All conditions of employment, including teaching hours, extra compensation for duties outside regular teaching hours, relief periods, leaves, and general teaching conditions shall be maintained at not less than the highest minimum standards in effect at the time this Agreement is signed, provided that such conditions shall be improved for the benefit of educators as required by the express provisions of the Agreement. This Agreement shall not be interpreted or applied to deprive educators of professional advantages heretofore enjoyed unless expressly stated herein.
MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS. 16.1 Should any provision of this agreement be declared illegal by a court of competent jurisdiction or as a result of state or federal legislation, said provision shall be automatically modified by mutual agreement of the parties to the extent that it violates the law. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect for the duration of this agreement if not affected by the deleted provision.

Any disagreement between the union and the City with respect to this section shall be subject to the grievance procedure.

MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS. 4.1 Except as provided in this Agreement, Chaffey College Governing Board policies in effect and in use during the 1981-82 academic year which relate to wages, hours of employment, and other terms and conditions of employment within the scope of representation shall remain in effect during the terms of this Agreement.
