LSCB definition

LSCB means Local Safeguarding Children Board;
LSCB. Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. “Month” a calendar month Part Furnished and Equipped Accommodation the type of accommodation described in Schedule 3 which is occupied by a Young Person and where their Support is provided during their Placement with the Provider . “Party/Parties” a party/the parties to the Contract and any IPAs called-off under it. (i.e. the Council and the Provider)

Examples of LSCB in a sentence

  • If during the course of your appointment as a Lay Member to the Board you become aware of information about a child, young person or family, or service which causes you concern, you must discuss your concerns with the person nominated to support you in this role or in their absence the Senior Manager - LSCB or LSCB Chair.

  • The LSCB sits outside the formal BFP structure as it must be independent to scrutinise and challenge, and guidance says that it must not be subordinate to or subsumed in another partnership.

  • The LSCB is made up of representatives from a broad range of services that work with children and young people, or with their parents/carers.

  • Members of an LSCB should be people with a strategic role in relation to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children within their organisation.

  • The full range of local LSCB training will be made available to all staff subject to their existing skills and experience as well as training requirements identified as part of staff supervision.
