Local Exchange Carrier or "LEC" means any Carrier that is engaged in the provision of telephone Exchange Service or Exchange Access. Such term does not include a Carrier insofar as such Carrier is engaged in the provision of a commercial mobile service under Section 332(c) of the Act, except to the extent that the FCC finds that such service should be included in the definition of such term.
Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) Shall have the meaning set forth in 47 U.S.C. §153. Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG): The Telcordia Technologies reference customarily used to identify NPA-NXX routing and homing information, as well as equipment designation. Local Interconnection Trunk or Local Interconnection Trunk Group: One-way or two-way trunks or trunk groups used to exchange Local Traffic between a switch of one Party and a switch of the other Party.
Data Local Exchange Carrier or "DLEC" is a CLEC interconnecting primarily for purposes of transporting data.
Local Exchange Routing Guide (LERG means the iconectiv Reference document used by Telecommunications Carriers to identify NPA-NXX routing and homing information as well as Network element and equipment designations.
Local Exchange Routing Guide or "LERG" means a Telcordia Technologies Reference Document used by LECs and IXCs to identify NPA-NXX routing and homing information as well as Network Element and equipment designations. "Local Interconnection Service (LIS) Entrance Facility" is a DS1 or DS3 facility that extends from CLEC's Switch location or Point of Interconnection (POI) to the CenturyLink Serving Wire Center. An Entrance Facility may not extend beyond the area served by the CenturyLink Serving Wire Center. "Local Interconnection Service (LIS)" is the CenturyLink product name for its provision of Interconnection as described in Section 7 of this Agreement.
Local Traffic means traffic (excluding Commercial Mobile Radio Service “CMRS” traffic) that is originated and terminated within Embarq’s local calling area, or mandatory extended area service (EAS) area, as defined by the Commission or, if not defined by the Commission, then as defined in existing Embarq Tariffs. For this purpose, Local Traffic does not include any ISP-Bound Traffic.
National Exchange means the Nasdaq National Market or any other national exchange on which the Common Stock of the Corporation is listed.
Final Exchange Bulletin means the Exchange Bulletin which is issued following closing of the Qualifying Transaction and the submission of all required documentation and that evidences the final Exchange acceptance of the Qualifying Transaction.
InterLATA Traffic describes Telecommunications between a point located in a Local Access and Transport Area ("LATA") and a point located outside such area.
Local exchange service means local switched telecommunications service within any local exchange service area approved by the state corporation commission, regardless of the medium by which the local telecommunications service is provided. The term local exchange service shall not include wireless communication services.
Reference Exchange means XETRA.
Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) means any company or person authorized to provide local exchange services in competition with an ILEC.
VNXX Traffic is all traffic originated by a Party’s End User Customer and dialed with a local dialing pattern that is not terminated to the other Party’s End User Customer physically located within the same CenturyLink Local Calling Area (as approved by the state Commission) as the originating caller, regardless of the NPA-NXX dialed. VNXX does not include originating 8XX traffic.
Transit Traffic means traffic originating on CLEC’s network that is switched and transported by AT&T-TSP and delivered to a Third Party Terminating Carrier’s network or traffic from a Third Party Originating Carrier’s network. A call that is originated or terminated by a CLEC purchasing local switching pursuant to a commercial agreement with AT&T-TSP is not considered Transit Traffic for the purposes of this Attachment. Additionally Transit Traffic does not include traffic to/from IXCs.
Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) means a telephone company certificated by the Commission to provide local Exchange Service within AT&T-21STATE’s franchised area.
Automated data acquisition and handling system or "DAHS" means that component of the continuous emission monitoring system, or other emissions monitoring system approved for use under section 11 of this rule, designed to interpret and convert individual output signals from pollutant concentration monitors, flow monitors, diluent gas monitors, and other component parts of the monitoring system to produce a continuous record of the measured parameters in the measurement units required by section 11 of this rule.
Switched Exchange Access Service means the offering of transmission or switching cervices to Telecommunications Carriers for the purpose of the origination or termination of telephone toll service. Switched Exchange Access Services include: Feature Group A, Feature Group B, Feature Group D, 800/888 access, and 900 access and their successors or similar Switched Exchange Access Services.
InterMTA Traffic means traffic to or from WSP’s network that, at the beginning of the call, originates in one MTA and terminates in another MTA.
Basic local exchange service or "local exchange service" means the provision of an access line and usage within a local calling area for the transmission of high-quality 2-way interactive switched voice or data communication.
Principal Exchange means, in respect of a Share, any stock exchange or quotation system on which such Share is listed. As of the date of this Information Statement, the Principal Exchange for each Share is as set forth under "Summary Information Regarding the Companies".
Automated driving system means the same as that term is defined in Section 41-26-102.1.
Multiple Exchange Carrier Access Billing or “MECAB” means the document prepared by the Billing Committee of the OBF, which functions under the auspices of the Carrier Liaison Committee (CLC) of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). The MECAB document, published by ATIS as ATIS/OBF-MECAB- Issue 6, February 1998, contains the recommended guidelines for the billing of access services provided to an IXC by two (2) or more LECs, or by one LEC in two (2) or more states within a single LATA.
Traffic means pedestrians, ridden or herded animals, vehicles, streetcars, and other conveyances either singly or together while using any highway for purposes of travel.
air traffic means all aircraft in flight or operating on the manoeuvring area of an aerodrome;
Local public procurement unit means any political subdivision or unit thereof which expends public funds for the procurement of supplies, services, or construction.
Airport System means two or more airports grouped together and serving the same city or conurbation, as indicated in Annex II to Regulation (EEC) No 2408/92;
