Local calling definition

Local calling means a completed call or telephone communication between a calling station and any other station within the local service area of the calling station.

Examples of Local calling in a sentence

  • For the purposes of this definition, a Verizon local calling area includes a Verizon non- optional Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement, but does not include a Verizon optional Local calling Scope Arrangement.

  • Both originating and terminating points for the minutes of use must be contained within the same Local calling area as defined by ALLTEL’s Local Exchange Tariff.

  • Local Calls for purposes of intercarrier compensation, is traffic where all calls are within the same common local and common mandatory local calling area, i.e., within the same or different SBC Exchange(s) that participate in the same common local mandatory local calling area approved by the applicable state Commission. Local Calls must actually originate and actually terminate to parties physically located within the same common local or common mandatory local calling area.
