Livestock operation definition

Livestock operation means a feedlot or other facility or a pasture where animals are fed, confined, maintained or stabled.
Livestock operation means 1) livestock kept in buildings, lots or pens, which normally are not used for the growing of crops or vegetation; or 2) any livestock kept in any livestock operation that is required by the Livestock Waste Management Act or state livestock waste regulations to obtain a permit from the Department of Environmental Quality; or 3) livestock which are confined for more than 90 days per year. Livestock Operation shall not mean livestock that are kept in pastures, on rangeland, or on other grazing lands and allowed to feed on vegetation growing therein.
Livestock operation means a livestock feeding, handling, milking, or holding operation located in this state which uses as part of its operation a byproduct produced at a biodiesel or an ethanol production facility.
