Limited service organization definition

Limited service organization or “LSO” means any corporation or limited liability company or other entity which, in return for prepayment, undertakes to provide or arrange for the provision of one or more limited health services to enrollees. Entities authorized to do business pursuant to Iowa Code chapters 508, 512B, 514, 514B (health maintenance organizations), 515, and 520 shall not be required to obtain separate licensure as an LSO.

  • Member organization means any individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership, or association that belongs to an association.

  • Managed care organization means an entity that (1) is under contract with the department to provide services to Medicaid recipients and (2) meets the definition of “health maintenance organization” as defined in Iowa Code section 514B.1.

  • Regional economic integration organization means an organization constituted by sovereign States of a given region to which its member States have transferred competence in respect of matters governed by this Convention and which has been duly authorized, in accordance with its internal procedures, to sign, ratify, accept, approve or accede to this Convention;

  • Community organization means a nonprofit organization that has a demonstrated capacity to train, develop, and organize parents and community leaders into a constituency that will hold the school and the school district accountable for achieving high academic standards; in addition to organizations with a geographic focus, "community organization" includes general parent organizations, organizations of special education or bilingual education parents, and school employee unions (Section 10 of the Act).

  • Community-based organization means a public or private nonprofit organization that is representative of a community or a significant segment of a community, and is engaged in meeting human, educational, environmental, or public safety community needs.
