Light Pole means a pole used primarily for lighting streets, parking areas, parks or pedestrian paths.

More Definitions of Light Pole

Light Pole means a raised source of light located in the right-of-way, that is owned, leased, operated or maintained by the city or otherwise provides a source of safety lighting, as shall be determined by the director of engineering or his or her designee.

Unless otherwise agreed by SMEU with respect to a particular Pole, the term Street Light Pole does not include (1) traffic signal or night watchman poles, (2) Electric Distribution Poles that support electric lines having a nominal voltage of not more than 35kv, (3) Decorative Street Light Poles, (4) any structure or facility within a substation, (5) conduits owned by SMEU, or (6) any other structure used for electric power distribution and transmission.
