Licensed Medical Professionals definition

Licensed Medical Professionals means and include without limitation qualified nurses, physiotherapists, physicians, etc. in accordance with the requirement of the User providing the Services availed through the Platform of the Healthcare Service Provider.
Licensed Medical Professionals mean medical professionals licensed by the New York State Department of Education. This includes the following professionals, as defined by the New York State Education Department licensing requirements: medical doctors, clinical dieticians, occupational and physical therapists, dentists, dietitians/nutritionists, mental health practitioners, midwifes, nurses, occupational therapists, optometrists, pharmacists, physical therapists, physician assistants, podiatrists, psychologists, respiratory therapists, and speech language pathologists.

  • The Healthcare Service Provider shall ensure that any and all Licensed Medical Professionals engaged are qualified and registered with the appropriate statutory bodies and in accordance with Applicable Law.

Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).

  • Health professional means an individual licensed or otherwise authorized to engage in a health profession under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838, and whose scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with a substance use disorder.
