More Definitions of Late Work

Late Work. If you are absent for any reason YOU are responsible for finding out what you missed in class. I strongly suggest that you ask your group (lab) members what you missed and get notes from them if needed. Also any worksheets, lab papers, or handouts that you missed that day can be generally be found in your packet distributed at the beginning of the unit or online. Also labs are to be made up within a timely manner due to the expiration of some chemicals or specimens. You as the student have two days from when you come back to school to make up your lab during homeroom, after school or before school, after that you will receive a zero or it will be counted late. The work that you miss when absent is due to the teacher two days from the absences. Therefore if you were absent on a Tuesday your work is due Thursday. If you turn in an assignment late (after the original or absent due date) it is at the teachers discretion when and how the late work is graded. For late work you will usually lose 10% of your grade for every day it is late and for labs or projects there is usually no late exceptions, your work needs to be on time or it’s a zero! After an assignment is more than two weeks late it will usually not be accepted and nor can it be made up.
