Land Court definition

Land Court means the Scottish Land Court;
Land Court means the Land Court Department of the Trial Court, or a session thereof for holding court.
Land Court means the Land Court established under the Land Act 1994.

  • If the Land Court orders a person to pay the attending party’s costs, the Land Court must decide the amount of the costs of attending.

  • However, the Land Court must not order a person to pay costs if the Land Court is satisfied the person had a reasonable excuse for not attending the conference.

  • Example—The Land Court may decide that an unsuccessful applicant for a prospecting permit be granted the permit and impose conditions on it.
