K-5 students definition

K-5 students means District students in grades Kindergarten through 5th. “Portland K-5” students means students that reside within the geographical boundary of the City of Portland.

Examples of K-5 students in a sentence

  • The driver will be directed to take the K3, K4, and/or K5 students to the designated MPS After-School Site.

  • The Board reserves the right to supervise K-5 students during emergency or inclement weather with teaching assistants and/or volunteers.

  • However, when inclement weather requires K-5 students to enter the building early, students will be permitted into the classroom and a schedule will be developed by the principal providing supervision by paraeducators with the cooperation of the teachers.

  • For the purposes of making classroom assignments for the next school year for K-5 students, the administration will involve interested staff in assessing student’s needs, class size and equitable distribution of special needs students in the creation of class lists.
