Jointer definition

Jointer means an employee who is employed in jointing cables or sweating on lugs in connection with the installing and maintenance of underground or overhead distributing systems, and the running of feeders, mains and services up to the main fuse in consumers' premises. The legitimate possession of a certificate of competency in this particular class of work issued by the Electrical Workers and Contractors' Board under the Electricity Act 1994 shall be recognised as proof of efficiency.
