Investment Service definition

Investment Service means a Service that is deemed to be an investment service under the Securities Market Act.

Investment Service means the provision of a service by the Bank in relation to the investment of your money;

Investment Service means the following service provided under the present Agreement in relation to securities: 1) reception and transmission of Orders; 2) Order execution on behalf of a Client; After the Client has concluded respective additional agreements with the Bank, the Investment Service in accordance with this Agreement may also be considered the following service and activity: 3) portfolio management; 4) investment advice.

Examples of Investment Service in a sentence

• The Authorised Firm must assess whether the Client has the necessary knowledge and experience in order to understand the risks involved in relation to the relevant Investment or Investment Service.

• If an Authorised Firm does not obtain sufficient information to assess suitability for the purposes of COB 5.2.2, the Authorised Firm must not recommend an Investment or Investment Service, or make a decision to trade.

• If an Authorised Firm considers that the Investment Service, Investment or Transaction is not appropriate for the Client, it must issue a warning to the Client that it is not considered to be appropriate.

• The Authorised Firm is only required to inform its Clients once, prior to the provision of any Investment Service to a new Client or when this obligation applies for the first time in relation to an existing Client.
