Investment security definition

Investment security means a marketable obligation in the form of a bond, note, or debenture, commonly regarded as an investment security and which is salable under ordinary circumstances with reasonable promptness at a fair value.
Investment security means any equity security or debt security as defined in Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 115.
Investment security means a mar- ketable debt obligation that is not pre- dominantly speculative in nature. A se- curity is not predominantly specula- tive in nature if it is rated investment grade. When a security is not rated, the security must be the credit equivalent of a security rated investment grade.

  • In no event shall the Trustee be liable for any loss incurred in connection with the sale of any Investment Security pursuant to this Section.
