Intentional harassment definition

Intentional harassment means anintentional act which creates the likelihood of injury to wildlife by annoying it to such an extent as to significantly disrupt normal behavior patterns which include, but are not limited to, breeding, feeding, or sheltering. Intentional harassment may include prior purposeful actions to attract, track, wait for, or search out CWTD, or purposeful actions to deter CWTD.

  • Examples of medium risk offences include but are not limited to:● Aggravated vehicle-taking;● Taking a motor vehicle without consent;● Handling stolen goods;● Going equipped for stealing;● Obtaining property or money by deception;● Making off without payment;● Affray;● Intentional harassment, alarm or distress;● Harassment, alarm or distress;● Nuisance;● Public nuisance;● Cheating the public revenue;● Fraud and deception; or● Drug offences such as production, supply or possession of illegal substances.

  • Intentional harassment is causing another individual to be harassed, alarmed or distressed by the use of threatening, abusive or insulting language or behaviour.

  • This may include assault, attempted assault, or the threat of assault.● Intentional harassment of another person.

  • An application will normally be refused where the applicant has a conviction for an offence such as: • Common assault • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm • Affray • Harassment, alarm or distress (S5 Public Order Act 1986) • Fear of provocation of violence(S4 Public Order Act 1986) • Intentional harassment, alarm or distress (S4A Public OrderAct1986) • Obstruction • Criminal damage • Or any similar offences (including attempted or conspiracy to commit) offences which replace the above.

  • Intentional harassment, killing or collection of any wildlife (including birds) at construction sites and surrounding areas shall be prohibited.

  • Examples of illegal purposes include but are not limited to:• Intentional harassment of other users• Intentional destruction of or damage to equipment, software, or data belong- ing to the University or other users• Intentional disruption of unauthorized monitoring of electronic communi- cations• Unauthorized copying of copyrighted material.

  • Intentional harassment is a criminal offence under the Criminal Justice Order Act 1994; however, harassment does not have to be intentional under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

  • Sexual harassment means conduct on the basis of sex that satisfies one or more of the following:

  • Personal harassment means any improper behaviour by a person employed by the Employer that is directed at and offensive to another person employed by the Employer which the first person knew or ought reasonably to have known would be unwelcome. Personal harassment comprises objectionable conduct, comment, act or display that demeans, belittles or causes personal humiliation or embarrassment to the recipient.

  • Serious assault means an act that constitutes a felony violation of chapter XI of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81 to 750.90h, or that constitutes an assault and infliction of serious or aggravated injury under section 81a of the Michigan penal code, 1931 PA 328, MCL 750.81a.

  • Felonious Assault means a violent or criminal act reported to the local authorities which was directed at you during the course of, or an attempt of, a physical assault resulting in serious injury, kidnapping, or rape.

  • Sexual assault has the same meaning as in RCW 70.125.030.

  • Victim of sexual assault means an individual against whom a sexual offense has been committed as described in ORS 163.467 or 163.525; or any other individual designated as a victim of sexual assault by rule adopted under ORS 659A.805.

  • Workplace Harassment means engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct against a worker in a workplace that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome”. Ref: Occupational Health and Safety Act, Sec. 1 (1). The employee rights set out above shall be interpreted within the context of the Ontario Human Rights Code. An employee who believes that she has been harassed, contrary to this provision shall be encouraged by both parties to follow the Employer’s policy on harassment and process. Failing resolution, an employee may follow the process set out in the Complaint, Grievance and Arbitration procedure in Article 8 of the Collective Agreement. The employee shall be encouraged by both parties to exhaust these processes prior to filing a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Commission.

  • Criminal sexual activity means the commission of an act as defined in Section 886 of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, which is the act of sodomy; and

  • Violent felony means any offense that, if committed by an adult, would constitute a felony and:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or bullying means any gesture, any written, verbal or physical act, or any electronic communication, as defined in N.J.S.A. 18A:37-14, whether it be a single incident or a series of incidents that:

  • Emotional abuse means behavior that could harm a child's emotional development, such as threatening, intimidating, humiliating, demeaning, criticizing, rejecting, using profane language, or using inappropriate physical restraint.

  • Serious illness means an accident, injury, illness, disease, or physical or mental condition that: poses imminent danger of death; requires inpatient care in a hospital, hospice, or residential medical facility; or requires continuing in-home care under the direction of a physician or health care provider. Related current definitions are summarized in (f) below.

  • Retaliation means any form of intimidation, reprisal or harassment directed against a student who reports bullying, provides information during an investigation, or witnesses or has reliable information about bullying.

  • Violent juvenile felony means any of the delinquent acts enumerated in subsection B or C of

  • Sexual orientation means actual or perceived heterosexuality, homosexuality or bisexuality.

  • Sexual abuse means actual or threatened physical intrusion of a sexual nature, whether by force or under unequal or coercive conditions.

  • Intimidating, threatening, abusive, or harming conduct means, but is not limited to, conduct that does the following:

  • Sexual conduct means vaginal intercourse between a male and female; anal intercourse, fellatio, and cunnilingus between persons regardless of gender; and, without privilege to do so, the insertion, however slight, of any part of the body or any instrument, apparatus, or other object into the vaginal or anal cavity of another. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete vaginal or anal intercourse.

  • Sexually violent offense means an offense for which a conviction has been entered for any of the following indictable offenses:

  • Sexual violence means any sexual act or act targeting a person’s sexuality, gender identity or gender expression, whether the act is physical or psychological in nature, that is committed, threatened or attempted against a person without the person’s consent. It includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism and sexual exploitation. For further clarity, sexual assault includes rape.

  • Knowing and "knowingly" means that a person is in possession of facts under which he or she is aware or should be aware of the nature of his or her conduct and that his or her conduct is substantially certain to cause the payment of a medicaid benefit. Knowing or knowingly includes acting in deliberate ignorance of the truth or falsity of facts or acting in reckless disregard of the truth or falsity of facts. Proof of specific intent to defraud is not required.

  • Violent criminal activity means any criminal activity that has as one of its elements the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force substantial enough to cause, or be reasonably likely to cause, serious bodily injury or property damage.

  • Harasses means a pattern or course of conduct directed toward another individual that includes, but is not limited to, repeated or continuing unconsented contact, that would cause a reasonable person to suffer emotional distress, and that actually causes emotional distress to the victim. Harassment shall include harassing or obscene phone calls as prohibited by Section 1172 of this title and conduct prohibited by Section 850 of this title. Harassment does not include constitutionally protected activity or conduct that serves a legitimate purpose;
