Intent to influence definition

Intent to influence means any person having the intent to influence legislative, administrative or political action if they do any act, including offering or conferring a thing of value to a public official, with the purpose of inducing the official to do an act he or she would otherwise not have done or refrain from doing something he or she would otherwise have done.
