Informal Mediation definition

Informal Mediation. With mutual consent, parties may appeal to campus mediation services prior to asking for resolution at any step. A mutual request for mediation at any step will extend the deadline for up to ten (10) days. See Agreement, Article XVI,
Informal Mediation means impartial mediation which the Authority conducts to facilitate a resolution acceptable to both Parties;

Examples of Informal Mediation in a sentence

  • Informal Mediation: At the request of the grievant or respondent, the Registrar will arrange for a meeting of the parties and attend such a meeting in an attempt to aid the resolution of the grievance.

  • Mediation means any process in which a mediator facilitates communication and negotiation between the parties to assist them in reaching a voluntary agreement regarding their dispute.

The form of alternative dispute resolution chosen pursuant to this article may be binding or nonbinding, with the voluntary consent of the parties.

  • Arbitration means any arbitration whether or not administered by a permanent arbitral institution;

  • Dispute Resolution Process means the process described in clause 9

  • Complaint Investigation means an investigation of any complaint that has been made to a proper authority that is not covered by an abuse investigation.

  • industrial dispute means any dispute or difference between employers and employers, or between employers and workmen, or between workmen and workmen, which is connected with the employment or non-employment or the terms of employment or with the conditions of labour, of any person;

  • Investigating Committee means any Officer/Committee appointed by Competent Authority to conduct investigation.

  • JAMS means JAMS, Inc. or its successor entity, a judicial arbitration and mediation service.

  • Mediator means an individual who conducts a mediation.

  • Hearing means an oral hearing and includes a hearing conducted in whole or in part by video link, telephone or other means of instantaneous two-way electronic communication;

  • ICSID means the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes;

  • Dispute Resolution Scheme means the Electricity and Gas Complaints Commission or such other dispute resolution scheme approved or provided for in accordance with section 95 of the Act;

  • Joint Remediation Committee has the meaning set forth in Section II.A.2.

  • Complaints Procedure means the School's procedure for handling complaints from parents, as amended from time to time for legal or other substantive reasons, or in order to assist the proper administration of the School. It does not form part of the contract between you and the School. A copy of the most up-to-date procedure is on the School's website and is otherwise available from the School at any time upon request;

  • Technical Dispute has the meaning specified in Section 12.2;

  • Informal resolution means options for resolving a formal complaint that do not involve a full investigation and adjudication. Informal resolution may encompass a broad range of conflict resolution strategies, including mediation or restorative justice.

  • Citation means any summons, complaint, summons and complaint, ticket, penalty assessment, or other official document issued to a person by a wildlife officer or other peace officer for a wildlife violation which contains an order requiring the person to respond.
