Industrial Work definition

Industrial Work means such work as the Minister may declare by order under section 2 to be industrial work for the purposes of this Act;
Industrial Work means work pertaining to facilities such as factories, plants, processing operations and similar operations”. 36D – Recall This replaces all current Recall clauses in local appendices except under maintenance in Zone 2. Employers may recall prior employees (Local Union Members) laid off & available for work for a period of 15 working days from the date of lay off. In all other cases the contractor has the right to recall for a period of 3 months if the member had been employed for a period of 6 months (whether employed on one or multiple projects over the six months). An employer may recall former employees (Local Union Members) provided the employee has not been employed elsewhere.
Industrial Work means to include all work performed under the scope of work of this Agreement and shall include the process areas only of the following: mines, power plants, pulp xxxxx, saw xxxxx, pipe lines, pumping stations, compressor stations refineries, packing houses, breweries, towers, stacks, cranes and rigging, bridges, all tank lining, grain elevators and terminals, shafts, silos, penstocks and/or any work not classified as residential or commercial.

More Definitions of Industrial Work

Industrial Work is used herein, it shall be defined to mean petro-chemical processing plants and/or related storage facilities or utility power house installations and/or related fuel processing facilities.
Industrial Work means those jobs specifically listed in the ‘DEFINITION OF INDUSTRIAL PROJECTS” appearing near the end of the “INDUSTRIAL WORK” section of this collective agreement.
Industrial Work shall be any type of construction, repair or maintenance work. An example of Industrial Work would be refineries, power houses, steel xxxxx and manufacturing facilities or any type of facility which produces a finished product from a raw material or an assembly operation. Man-Camp housing, whether built on site or off site, would come under xxx xxxxxxxxxx jurisdiction and the Industrial Work wage would apply. Industrial Work would also include all buildings and support facilities incidental thereto.
Industrial Work means Work on process facilities, but does not include commercial Work or any of the Special Projects Work;

Related to Industrial Work

  • Industrial building means a building used for or in connection with,

  • tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;

  • industrial premises means any place or premises (not being a private dwelling house), including the precincts thereof, in which or in any part of which any industry, trade, business, occupation or manufacturing is being ordinarily carried on with or without the aid of power and includes a godown attached thereto;

  • aerial work means an aircraft operation in which an aircraft is used for specialised services such as agriculture, construction, photography, surveying, observation and patrol, search and rescue, and aerial advertisement;

  • Industrial hemp means a plant of the genus Cannabis and any part of the plant, whether growing or not, containing a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of no more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) on a dry weight basis.

  • Industrial furnace means any of the following enclosed devices that are integral components of manufacturing processes and that use thermal treatment to accomplish recovery of materials or energy:

  • Commercial building means any building other than a residential building,

  • industrial effluent means any liquid, whether or not containing matter in solution or suspension, which is emitted in the course of or as a result of any trade or industrial operation, including a mining operation, and includes any liquid besides soil water or waste water or stormwater;

  • industrial design means any composition of lines or colours or any three dimensional form whether or not associated with lines or colours, provided that such composition or form gives a special appearance to a product of industry or handicraft and can serve as a pattern for a product of industry or handicraft;

  • audiovisual work means a work that consists of a series of related images which impart the impression of motion, with or without accompanying sounds, susceptible of being made visible and, where accompanied by sounds, susceptible of being made audible;

  • Industrial wastewater means the water or liquid carried waste from an industrial process. These wastes may result from any process or activity of industry, manufacture, trade or business, from the development of any natural resource, or from animal operations such as feedlots, poultry houses, or dairies. The term includes contaminated storm water and leachate from solid waste facilities.

  • Tenant Improvements Defined in Exhibit B, if any.

  • Industrial Property Rights means all of the Company's patents, trademarks, trade names, inventions, copyrights, know-how or trade secrets, formulas and science, now in existence or hereafter developed or acquired by the Company or for its use, relating to any and all products and services which are developed, formulated and/or manufactured by the Company.

  • Industrial Property – means property used for construction, repair, trade or manufacturing, production, assembly or processing of finished or partially finished products from raw materials or fabricated parts on such a large scale that capital and labour are significantly involved, and includes any office or other accommodation on the same property, the use of which is incidental to such activity;

  • Tenant Improvement Work means the construction of the Tenant Improvements, together with any related work (including demolition) that is necessary to construct the Tenant Improvements.

  • Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Industrial waste means any liquid, gaseous, radioactive, or solid waste substance resulting from any process of industry, manufacturing, trade, or business or from the development of any natural resource.

  • Industrial Action has the meaning given to it in paragraph 1(f) of Schedule 10.4 (Force Majeure);

  • Industrial wastes means the liquid wastes from industrial manufacturing processes, trade, or business as distinct from sanitary sewage.

  • Industrial means lands, buildings or structures used or designed or intended for use for manufacturing, processing, fabricating or assembly of raw goods, warehousing or bulk storage of goods, and includes office uses and the sale of commodities to the general public where such uses are accessory to an industrial use, but does not include the sale of commodities to the general public through a warehouse club;

  • Industrial use means the use of natural gas, electricity, heat, coal, fuel oil, or other fuels:

  • Industrial Activity means activities subject to NPDES Industrial Permits as defined in 40 CFR, Section 122.26 (b)(14).
