Imported Fill definition

Imported Fill means fill transported onto a Project Site from an off-site location for use in the performance of Work associated with a Project Site, including but not limited to, the backfilling of utility trenches and basements, construction of play areas and play fields, construction of engineered soil caps, changing the topographic elevation of a Project Site, or backfilling of excavations.

  • The requirements specified in Section 15 [Contamination, Hazardous Substances, and Waste] and Section 18 [Stockpiles and Imported Fill] of Schedule 10 [Environmental Performance Requirements] apply to conducting this work.

  • Consultant’s review will be performed in accordance with the Phase I SMP and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) guidance document Information Advisory: Clean Imported Fill Material (October 2001).

  • If the areas of acquisition are to be used as borrow sites, Funding Recipient shall determine that the soil found in these areas is suitable as fill material in accordance with guidelines found in the California Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Toxic Substances Control document entitled “Information Advisory — Clean Imported Fill Material” dated October 2001.

  • Imported content means that portion of the bidding price represented by the cost of components, parts or materials which have been or are still to be imported (whether by the supplier or his subcontractors) and which costs are inclusive of the costs abroad, plus freight and other direct importation costs such as landing costs, dock dues, import duty, sales duty or other similar tax or duty at the South African place of entry as well as transportation and handling charges to the factory in the Republic where the supplies covered by the bid will be manufactured.
