Illiterate definition

Illiterate means an inability to read and write a simple message such as instructions or inventory lists even if the individual can sign his or her own name.
Illiterate here means that ordinary people without special knowledge of finance economics could not and cannot understand the whole scheme and terms of those risky financial instruments.
