Specialty means a broad, population-based focus of study encompassing the common health-related problems of a particular group of patients and the likely co-morbidities, interventions, and responses to those problems.
Plastics means synthetic materials chemically formed by the polymerization of organic (carbon-based) substances. Plastics are usually compounded with modifiers, extenders, and/or reinforcers and are capable of being molded, extruded, cast into various shapes and films or drawn into filaments.

Specialty fertilizer means a fertilizer distributed primarily for nonfarm use.
Homemaker services means the professionally directed or supervised simple household maintenance or management services provided by trained homemakers or individuals to families in their own homes.
Fossil fuel-fired means, with regard to a unit:
Tire means a continuous solid or pneumatic rubber covering encircling the wheel of a tractor or other farm machinery or of a vehicle.
Specialty coating means any coating that is manufactured and used for one (1) of the following specialized applications:
Transportation Company means any organization which provides its own or its leased vehicles for transportation or which provides freight forwarding or air express services.
Dte. GHS means Directorate General and Health Services, MOH&FW.
Alloy means a metal consisting of a mixture of a basic metallic element and one or more metallic, or non-metallic, alloying elements.
Farmland means land actively devoted to agricultural or

Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

Asset Management Plan means a plan created by the department and approved by the state transportation commission or a plan created by a local road agency and approved by the local road agency's governing body that includes provisions for asset inventory, performance goals, risk of failure analysis, anticipated revenues and expenses, performance outcomes, and coordination with other infrastructure owners.
Polymer means a substance consisting of molecules characterised by the sequence of one or more types of monomer units. Such molecules must be distributed over a range of molecular weights wherein differences in the molecular weight are primarily attributable to differences in the number of monomer units. Area of Specialty means the description of an MBE or WBE firm’s business which has been determined by the Chief Procurement Officer to be most reflective of the MBE or WBE firm’s claimed specialty or expertise. Each MBE/WBE letter of certification contains a description of the firm’s Area of Specialty. This information is also contained in the Directory (defined below). Credit toward this Contract’s MBE and WBE participation goals shall be limited to the participation of firms performing within their Area of Specialty.
Fuels – shall mean crude oil, petroleum products, biocomponents, biofuels and other fuels, including natural gas, industrial gases and fuel gases.----------------------------------------------------------
Logistics means the process of lifting coal from mines, bulk transportation and shall include loading and unloading at various points as may be necessary to effect the transportation as defined in Clause 2.0 Vol.-III, Scope of Work. It shall also imply necessary arrangements with transporters including railways, knowhow about processes, co-ordinating with various interfaces involved, minimizing losses, demurrages and including related documentation and arranging access to Railway siding etc.
Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel means diesel fuel that has a sulfur content of no more than fifteen parts per
SPECIALTY HOSPITAL means a hospital or the specialty unit of a general hospital that is licensed by the state. It must be designed to care for patients with injuries or special illnesses. This includes, but is not limited to, a long-term acute care unit, an acute mental health or acute short-term rehabilitation unit or hospital. Hospital does not mean: • convalescent home; • rest home; • nursing home; • home for the aged; • school and college infirmary; • residential treatment facility; • long-term care facility; • urgent care center or freestanding ambulatory surgical center; • facility providing mainly custodial, educational or rehabilitative care; or • a section of a hospital used for custodial, educational or rehabilitative care, even if accredited by the JCAHO or listed in the AHA directory.
Dental Services means diagnostic, preventive, or corrective
Tobacco means cigarettes, cigars, chewing or pipe tobacco, or any other item that contains tobacco.
Energy means electricity, natural gas, steam, hot or chilled water, fuel oil, or other product for use in a building, or renewable on-site electricity generation, for purposes of providing heating, cooling, lighting, water heating, or for powering or fueling other end-uses in the building and related facilities, as reflected in Utility bills or other documentation of actual Energy use.
