Housemaster definition

Housemaster or "assistant housemaster" means the officers appointed to be housemasters or assistant housemasters of a reformatory school by the Chief Inspector;
Housemaster means a person appointed by His Majesty to be Housemaster or Housemistress of a place of detention;

Examples of Housemaster in a sentence

  • Boarding pupils must live in the School premises set aside for boarding and must not leave the premises without the express permission of the appropriate Housemaster.

  • Regardless of the child’s age, we do not consider unsupervised stays in hotels, apartments or University Halls of Residence to provide an adequate level of accommodation or care; • provide pastoral and educational support, including communicating with Housemaster / Housemistress on a regular basis regarding the welfare of the pupil.

  • A Housemaster who is laid off may replace the least senior teacher in an area where the Housemaster is certified.

  • At all times those “off games” must remain on the school site unless permission has been granted from your Housemaster / Housemistress.

  • Evaluator shall mean the building Principal, Assistant Principal, Assistant to the Principal, Housemaster, and/or appropriate Director.

  • Educational Guardians are welcome, indeed encouraged, to visit the School to support a pupil in matches, plays concerts and, if parents authorise them to receive a copy of the school reports on the form in Appendix 1, to contact the Housemaster or Housemistress to discuss the pupil’s academic and social progress.

  • In the fall each faculty member who is beginning a new cycle in that year shall meet with her/his Housemaster or other administrator assigned for evaluation to discuss plans for the upcoming cycle.
