Crisis means a situation in which a student engages in a behavior that threatens the health and safety of the student or others and includes without limitation a situation in which the student becomes aggressive or violent at school and is unable to regain self-control without posing a danger of injury to himself or herself or others.
Terrorism means an ideologically motivated unlawful act or acts, including but not limited to the use of violence or force or threat of violence or force, committed by or on behalf of any group(s), organization(s) or government(s) for the purpose of influencing any government and/or instilling fear in the public or a section of the public.
Waterborne disease outbreak means the significant occurrence of an acute infectious illness, epidemiologically associated with the ingestion of water from a public water system which is deficient in treatment, as determined by the Division.
Pandemic means any outbreaks, epidemics or pandemics relating to SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19, or any evolutions, variants or mutations thereof, or any other viruses (including influenza), and the governmental and other responses thereto.
Landslide means episodic down slope movement of a mass of soil or rock that includes, but is not limited to, rock falls, slumps, mudflows, and earth flows.
Act of God means a cataclysmic phenomenon of nature, including earthquake, flood or cyclone. Rain, snow, wind, high water or any other natural phenomenon, which might reasonably have been anticipated from historical records of the general locality of the City, shall be deemed not to be acts of God;
terrorist offences means offences as defined in Article 3(1) of Directive (EU) 2017/541;
international organisation means an organisation and its subordinate bodies governed by public international law, or any other body which is set up by, or on the basis of, an agreement between two or more countries.
Violence means the unjustified infliction of physical force by a student with the intent to cause injury to another student or damage to the property of another student.
Sexual excitement means the condition of human male or female genitals when in a state of sexual stimulation or arousal.
Embargo means a ban placed by the Board on a Club in respect of player registrations, as more fully defined in Appendix H.
Foreign terrorist organization means an organization designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the United States secretary of state as authorized by 8 U.S.C. Section 1189.
Hostile environment means a situation in which bullying among students is sufficiently severe or pervasive to alter the conditions of the school climate;
Hostile fire means one which becomes uncontrollable or breaks out from where it was intended to be.
Plagiarism means to take and present as one's own a material portion of the ideas or words of another or to present as one's own an idea or work derived from an existing source without full and proper credit to the source of the ideas, words, or works. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
Sexual violence means any sexual act or act targeting a person’s sexuality, gender identity or gender expression, whether the act is physical or psychological in nature, that is committed, threatened or attempted against a person without the person’s consent, and includes sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, indecent exposure, voyeurism and sexual exploitation.
Armed forces means that term as defined in section 2 of the veteran right to employment services act, 1994 PA 39, MCL 35.1092.
Political organization means a party, committee, association, fund, or other organization (whether or not incorporated) that is required to file a statement of organization with the State Board of Elections or a county clerk under Section 9-3 of the Election Code (10 ILCS 5/9-3), but only with regard to those activities that require filing with the State Board of Elections or a county clerk.
