Hospital-based clinic definition

Hospital-based clinic means a clinic that is owned by the hospital, operated by the hospital under its hospital license, and on the premises of the hospital.
Hospital-based clinic means a department of the Hospital that meets the definition of a provider-based clinic as defined in 42 CFR Sec. 413.65
Hospital-based clinic means an outpatient program licensed solely under Article 28 of the Public Health Law which is located in a general hospital and provides more than 10,000 mental health visits annually, or for which mental health visits comprise over 30 percent of the annual visits. A program providing fewer than 2,000 total visits annually shall not be considered a hospital-based clinic.

  • Clinical nurse specialist means a registered nurse with relevant post-basic qualifications and 12 months’ experience working in the clinical area of his/her specified post-basic qualification, or a minimum of four years’ post-basic registration experience, including three years’ experience in the relevant specialist field and who satisfies the local criteria.

  • Managed care plan means a health benefit plan that either requires a covered person to use, or creates incentives, including financial incentives, for a covered person to use health care providers managed, owned, under contract with or employed by the health carrier.

  • Approved clinical trial means a phase I, phase II, phase III, or phase IV clinical trial that is conducted in relation to the prevention, detection, or treatment of cancer or other life-threatening disease or Condition and is described in any of the following:

  • Health carrier or "carrier" means a disability insurer

  • Qualifying Educational Program means a program at a post-secondary school level of not less than three consecutive weeks duration that requires each student taking the program to spend not less than 10 hours per week on courses or work in that program.
