SERFF means the system for electronic rate and form filing. SERFF is a proprietary NAIC computer-based application that allows insurers and other entities to create and submit rate, rule and form filings electronically to the commissioner.
Embalmer means any person engaged in the practice of embalming.
Legionella means a genus of bacteria, some species of which have caused a type of pneumonia called Legionnaires Disease.
Diocese means the Church of England diocese in which the Academies are situated;
PETE means polyethylene terephthalate, labeled by the SPI code #1.
McDaniel means McDaniel & Associates Consultants Ltd.
MR means the mechanical rights granted in clauses 2.1.1 and 2.1.2.
Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;
Growler means any refillable, resealable container complying with federal law.
seaman ’ means an individual (except scientific personnel, a sailing school instruc- tor, or a sailing school student) engaged or employed in any capacity on board a vessel.
Barber means a person who shaves or trims the beard of a person; cuts, trims, shampoos, relaxes, curls, permanently waves, dresses, tints, bleaches, colors, arranges, or styles the hair of a person; massages the face and head of a person; or renders personal services of a similar nature customarily done by a barber.
Toddler means a child at least one year of age but less than 2 years of age.
Law firm means both of the following:
Roentgen means the special unit of exposure. One roentgen (R) equals 2.58 × 10-4 coulombs/kilogram of air (see “Exposure” and 38.4(4)).
Lacquer means a clear or opaque wood coating, including clear lacquer sanding sealers, formulated with cellulosic or synthetic resins to dry by evaporation without chemical reaction and to provide a solid, protective film.
Gray (Gy) means the SI unit of absorbed dose. One gray is equal to an absorbed dose of 1 joule per kilogram (100 rad).
CFAF means the currency of the Borrower;
MARO mean "months after the effective date for award of the contractual action (as shown in block 3, Section A, SF 26)".
professor means a person designated as a professor of the University in accordance with provisions made in that behalf by statute or by regulations;
SR means state route and has the same meaning as state highway as defined in this section.
Seaplane means an aeroplane capable normally of taking off from and alighting solely on water;
caravan means a vehicle that is fitted or designed to allow human habitation and which is drawn by another vehicle, or which is capable of self-propulsion;
PAT means a document or product accessibility template, including any Information Technology Industry Council Voluntary Product Accessibility Template or VPAT®, that specifies how information and software products, such as websites, applications, software and associated content, conform to WCAG 2.0 Level AA.
Becquerel (Bq) means the SI unit of activity. One becquerel is equal to 1 disintegration or transformation per second (dps or tps).
