Emphasis shall be placed on creating and maintaining pedestrian-oriented public spaces and rights-of- way.
Waters of this state means any waters within the territorial limits of this state.
Outside this state means a location in another state or a country other than the United States, whether or not the country is a foreign country.
Highways means public streets, highways, and alleys.
Bona fide legal resident of this State means any resident who has established residence of at least 90 days in the State.

You acknowledge that you are your local utility account holder, or a person legally authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the account holder for electricity service and are at least eighteen (18) years of age. You agree to authorize XOOM to obtain your credit information and you agree to authorize your local utility to release all information relating to your historical and current electricity usage, billing and payment history to XOOM or its authorized representatives. You acknowledge that XOOM has full authority to make all rates and tariff selections necessary to meet its obligations under this Agreement. You may rescind this authorization at any time by contacting XOOM. Neither your social security number, customer account number nor any other customer financial information will be released by XOOM, except where such release is required by court order or by Commission Order or Rule, without your affirmative written consent. Execution of this Agreement shall constitute authorization for the release of this information to XOOM.
Date of this Agreement means the date first written above.
Landscaped area means all the planting areas, turf areas, and water features in a landscape design plan subject to the Maximum Applied Water Allowance and Estimated Applied Water Use calculations. The landscaped area does not include footprints of buildings or structures, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, decks, patios, gravel or stone walks, other pervious or non-pervious hardscapes, and other non-irrigated areas designated for non-development (e.g., open spaces and existing native vegetation).
Specialist Physician means a licensed physician who qualifies as an attending physician and who examines a patient at the request of the attending physician or authorized nurse practitioner to aid in evaluation of disability, diagnosis, or provide temporary specialized treatment. A specialist physician may provide specialized treatment for the compensable injury or illness and give advice or an opinion regarding the treatment being rendered, or considered, for a patient’s compensable injury.
Areas means such areas within the DAS Areas that are identified in Annexure A annexed to this Agreement;
Term of this Agreement means the term of the current collective agreement between the Board and the Association;

Public highway means a public highway, road, street, avenue, alley, or thoroughfare of any kind, or a bridge, tunnel, or subway used by the public.

Radiation area means any area, accessible to individuals, in which radiation levels could result in an individual receiving a dose equivalent in excess of 0.05 mSv (0.005 rem) in 1 hour at 30 centimeters from the source of radiation or from any surface that the radiation penetrates.

Term Of This Policy means the period from and including the Date of Issuance to and including the date on which (i) the Note Principal Balance of the Obligations is zero; (ii) any period during which any Scheduled Payment could have been avoided in whole or in part as a preference payment under applicable bankruptcy, insolvency, receivership or similar law shall have expired and (iii) if any proceedings requisite to avoidance as a preference payment have been commenced prior to the occurrence of (i) and (ii), a final and nonappealable order in resolution of each such proceeding has been entered.
Pest means any invertebrate animal, pathogen, parasitic plant or similar or allied organism which can cause disease or damage in any crops, trees, shrubs, grasses or other plants of substantial value.

Covered area means the geographical area described in the solicitation from which this contract resulted;
In this state means within the exterior limits of the State of California and includes all territory within those limits owned by or ceded to the United States of America.
Wildland means an area where development is generally limited to roads, railroads, power lines, and widely scattered structures. Such land is not cultivated (i.e., the soil is disturbed less frequently than once in 10 years), is not fallow, and is not in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Conservation Reserve Program. The land may be neglected altogether or managed for such purposes as wood or forage production, wildlife, recreation, wetlands, or protective plant cover.
Disinfection means a process which inactivates pathogenic organisms in water by chemical oxidants or equivalent agents.
Acute toxicity means concurrent and delayed adverse effects that result from an acute exposure and occur within any short observation period, which begins when the exposure begins, may extend beyond the exposure period, and usually does not constitute a substantial portion of the life span of the organism.
