Healthcare Communications Business definition

Healthcare Communications Business means the development, manufacture, selling and servicing of nurse and patient communication systems, infrared locator systems and the other products listed on SCHEDULE 1.55, as conducted by Seller as of the date of the Agreement and as it historically has been conducted through the Closing Date, including all developments and extensions thereof, and shall exclude the eLottery Business and the Computer Telephony Business.
Healthcare Communications Business means the provision of on-line prescription, laboratory and managed care transaction and messaging services (the "Services") that connect physicians with healthcare payers, pharmacies and laboratories, which shall include, without limitation, connection to, and management of Services with, all pharmaceutical benefits management systems; connection to, and management of Services with, all payer systems (including third party payers and direct payers (e.g., employers)); connection to, and management of Services with, all physicians and other provider systems; connection to, and management of Services with, healthcare suppliers (e.g., pharmacies, laboratories); connection to, and management of Services with, consumers; and connection to, and management of services with, other data switches (e.g., clearing houses).
Healthcare Communications Business means the development, manufacture, selling and servicing of the Healthcare Communications Products, as conducted by Seller as of the date of the Agreement, and as it historically has been conducted (except the sale of telephone and related systems formerly manufactured by the Computer Telephony Business), excluding the eLottery Business.

  • Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon. Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).

  • Information Technologies means all information processing and communications-related hardware, Software, supplies, and consumable items that the Supplier is required to supply and install under the Contract.

  • Telehealth services means the mode of delivering health care services and public health via information and communication technologies to facilitate the diagnosis, consultation, treatment, education, care management, and self-management of a patient's health care while the patient is at the originating site and the provider for telehealth is at a distant site. Telehealth facilitates patient self-management and caregiver support for patients and includes synchronous interactions and asynchronous store and forward transfers.

  • Information Systems means all computer hardware, databases and data storage systems, computer, data, database and communications networks (other than the Internet), architecture interfaces and firewalls (whether for data, voice, video or other media access, transmission or reception) and other apparatus used to create, store, transmit, exchange or receive information in any form.

  • Healthcare Laws means all applicable statutes, laws, ordinances, rules and regulations of any Governmental Authority with respect to regulatory matters primarily relating to patient healthcare, healthcare providers and healthcare services (including without limitation Section 1128B(b) of the Social Security Act, as amended, 42 U.S.C. Section 1320a-7(b) (Criminal Penalties Involving Medicare or State Health Care Programs), commonly referred to as the "Federal Anti-Kickback Statute," and the Social Security Act, as amended, Section 1877, 42 U.S.C. Section 1395nn (Prohibition Against Certain Referrals), commonly referred to as "Xxxxx Statute").

  • Department of Information Technology means the New Mexico Department of Information Technology which is responsible for operating the data center and all communications related items.

Additionally, it is the procedures, equipment, facilities, software, and Data that are designed, built, operated, and maintained to create, collect, record, process, store, retrieve, display, and transmit information.
