Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement definition

Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement or "HCFSA" means an account established by the Employer for designated allotments made by the Employee for reimbursement of Eligible Health Care Expenses. A Covered Employee who holds an HSA or whose spouse holds an HSA may only enroll in a HCFSA for limited expenses, known as a LEX HCFSA.
Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement means the account established for Participants pursuant to the Plan to which part of their Cafeteria Plan Benefit Dollars may be allocated and from which all allowable Medical Expenses incurred by a Participant, his/her spouse and his/her Dependent(s) may be reimbursed.
Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement means the plan of benefit contained in this Article, which provides for the reimbursement of eligible Medical Expenses incurred by a Participant or his Dependents.

Examples of Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement in a sentence

  • For the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement, you must submit claims no later than 90 days after the end of the Plan Year.

  • If you are going into or returning from military service, you may have special rights to health care coverage under your Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994.

  • However, you will be able to submit claims for health care expenses that were incurred before the end of the period for which payments to the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement have already been made.

  • You can elect to continue your participation in the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement for the remainder of the Plan Year, subject to the following conditions.

  • For the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement, you may continue your coverage or you may revoke your coverage and resume it when you return.

  • Whenever "Plan" is used in this section, it means any of the health benefits under this Plan including the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement.

  • For health benefit coverage and Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement coverage on termination of employment, please see the Article entitled "Continuation Coverage Rights Under COBRA." Upon your termination of employment, your participation in the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement will cease, and no further salary redirection contributions will be contributed on your behalf.

  • The Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement allows you to be reimbursed by the Employer for expenses incurred by you and your dependents.

  • The expenses you incur during the time you are not in the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement are not reimbursable.

  • For example, if you elected to contribute an annual amount of $500 and, at the time you terminate employment, you have contributed $300 but only claimed$150, you may elect to continue coverage under the Health Care Flexible Spending Arrangement.

  • Medical flexible spending arrangement means a benefit plan

Family child care home includes a home in which care is given to an unrelated minor child for more than 4 weeks during a calendar year. A family child care home does not include an individual providing babysitting services for another individual. As used in this subparagraph, "providing babysitting services" means caring for a child on behalf of the child's parent or guardian if the annual compensation for providing those services does not equal or exceed $600.00 or an amount that would according to the internal revenue code of 1986 obligate the child's parent or guardian to provide a form 1099-MISC to the individual for compensation paid during the calendar year for those services.

  • Acute care hospital means a Hospital that provides Acute Care Services. Adjudicate means to deny or pay a Clean Claim. Administrative Services see MCO Administrative Services. Administrative Services Contractor see HHSC Administrative Services Contractor.

  • Long-term care insurance means group insurance that is authorized by the retirement system for retirants, retirement allowance beneficiaries, and health insurance dependents, as that term is defined in section 91, to cover the costs of services provided to retirants, retirement allowance beneficiaries, and health insurance dependents, from nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health care providers, adult day care providers, and other similar service providers.

  • Child welfare services means social services including

  • Health care entity means any health care provider, health plan or health care clearinghouse.

  • Dependent care assistance program means a benefit plan

  • Health care facilities means buildings, structures, or equipment suitable and intended for, or incidental or ancillary to, use in providing health services, including, but not limited to, hospitals; hospital long-term care units; infirmaries; sanatoria; nursing homes; medical care facilities; outpatient clinics; ambulatory care facilities; surgical and diagnostic facilities; hospices; clinical laboratories; shared service facilities; laundries; meeting rooms; classrooms and other educational facilities; students', nurses', interns', or physicians' residences; administration buildings; facilities for use as or by health maintenance organizations; facilities for ambulance operations, advanced mobile emergency care services, and limited advanced mobile emergency care services; research facilities; facilities for the care of dependent children; maintenance, storage, and utility facilities; parking lots and structures; garages; office facilities not less than 80% of the net leasable space of which is intended for lease to or other use by direct providers of health care; facilities for the temporary lodging of outpatients or families of patients; residential facilities for use by the aged or disabled; and all necessary, useful, or related equipment, furnishings, and appurtenances and all lands necessary or convenient as sites for the health care facilities described in this subdivision.

  • Health care system means any public or private entity whose function or purpose is the management of, processing of, enrollment of individuals for or payment for, in full or in part, health care services or health care data or health care information for its participants;

  • Health care services means services for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, cure, or relief of a health condition, illness, injury, or disease.
